About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Enterprise Sales Counsel with deep commercial law expertise to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skills in developing Go-to-Market strategies, leading a team of legal professionals, and supporting our Sales team with contracting for Canva Enterprise and Education products.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves scaling and enhancing Canva's contracting strategy for Canva Enterprise, including contract package enablement for sales and success teams, customers, and partners. You will stay up-to-date on emerging trends impacting enterprise contracting, build and lead a team responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts, provide pragmatic guidance on customer and contract-related issues, and collaborate with various departments to support GTM initiatives such as AI functionality, public sector sales, and revenue recognition.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have extensive commercial and contracting law expertise, with a primary focus on sales. Prior experience in a technology company, preferably SaaS-based, is essential. A law degree with admission to at least one state bar is required. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be solutions-focused, risk-aware but not risk-averse, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
