The Motor Pool Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the motor pool operations, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and directives.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Manage administrative and strategic activities related to the secure transportation of personnel and cargo.
  • Supervise round-the-clock operations to support various installation emergencies, exercises, and mobilization efforts.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for designated motor pool areas.
  • Facilitate employee communication and human resources interactions.
  • Direct the operations and maintenance of fleet and automotive equipment, including storage and repair facilities.
  • Coordinate inspections and schedule necessary repairs or maintenance work.
  • Generate reports, resolve operational issues, and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with state requirements for vehicle titles, registrations, and inspections.
  • Maintain customer relations and satisfaction with designated representatives.
  • Utilize various data systems, including the Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST) and Fleet Management Information System (FMIS).
  • Prepare annual reports and documentation as required.
  • Conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare operational reports and instructions.
  • Engage with customers regarding transportation and maintenance services, facilitating work initiation and completion.
  • Analyze project performance metrics and prepare relevant reports.
  • Maintain production records, including labor hours and incurred costs.
  • Participate in briefings as required.
  • Plan and allocate resources for daily mission support.
  • Develop and manage innovative processes and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Adapt job responsibilities as needed to meet contractual obligations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work primarily in an office setting, remaining stationary for approximately 50% of the time.

  • Desktop Computer
  • Multi-Function Office Equipment (fax, scanner, copier, printer)
  • Multi-Line Phone System
  • Two-Way Radios
Qualifications

This position is subject to change as necessary to fulfill program or company requirements.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in motor vehicle operations management.
  • Thorough understanding of regulations and policies related to Army Maintenance Management.
  • Proficient in all relevant software and data processing procedures.
  • Ability to generate reports, resolve issues, and enhance service delivery.
  • General knowledge of logistics policies and systems related to transportation services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the management and utilization of motor vehicles.
  • Valid State Driver's License with no restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must maintain driving privileges on the installation.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred experience with the Department of Transportation (5 years).
  • Proficient experience with Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) (5 years).

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, SharePoint).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of interacting at all organizational levels.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
