The Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Supervisor plays a critical role in managing the daily operations of the motor pool at the designated installation, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and directives.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Managing administrative and strategic functions related to the safe transportation of personnel and cargo.
  • Overseeing continuous operations to support emergency responses, exercises, and deployment activities.
  • Providing supervisory oversight for assigned TMP areas.
  • Facilitating employee communication and human resources interactions.
  • Coordinating maintenance and operational activities for fleet and automotive equipment.
  • Conducting inspections and scheduling necessary repairs or services.
  • Delivering reports and resolving issues to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with state registration and inspection requirements.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction through effective communication with contract representatives.
  • Utilizing various data systems for fleet management and reporting.
  • Preparing necessary reports and documentation as required.
  • Conducting meetings and developing operational plans and instructions.
  • Analyzing project performance metrics and reporting findings.
  • Managing resources and personnel for daily mission support.
  • Innovating processes and maintaining quality management standards.
  • Adapting to changes in job duties as contractual requirements evolve.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Primarily office-based, with stationary duties for a significant portion of the workday.

EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Desktop computer and multifunction office machines.
  • Multi-line phone systems and two-way radios.
Qualifications

This position is subject to change as necessary to fulfill program or company requirements.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in motor vehicle operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in software and data processing related to fleet management.
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend improvements in service delivery.
  • General understanding of logistics policies and transportation systems.
  • Valid State Driver's License with no restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred experience with the Department of Transportation.
  • Proficiency in Fleet Management Information Systems (FMIS) is advantageous.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
