The Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the daily operations of the motor pool on the installation, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and directives.
Key ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY DUTIES:
- Oversee administrative and strategic functions related to the safe transportation of personnel and equipment.
- Manage 24/7 operations to support various installation requirements, including emergencies and deployments.
- Provide supervisory oversight for designated TMP areas.
- Facilitate effective communication and HR interactions within the team.
- Coordinate maintenance and operational activities for fleet and automotive equipment.
- Conduct inspections and schedule necessary repairs or services.
- Deliver reports and resolve issues to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with state registration and inspection requirements.
- Maintain strong customer relations with contract representatives.
- Utilize data systems effectively, including FAST, FMIS, and GCSS-A.
- Prepare necessary reports and documentation as required.
- Conduct meetings and prepare plans and working instructions.
- Interface with customers regarding transportation and maintenance tasks.
- Analyze project performance metrics and report findings.
- Maintain production reports detailing hours worked and costs incurred.
- Attend relevant briefings as required.
- Plan and allocate resources for daily mission support.
- Develop and manage innovative processes to enhance quality management.
- Adapt to changes in job duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role, requiring stationary work for approximately 50% of the time.
Equipment Utilized:
- Desktop Computer
- Multi-Function Office Equipment (fax, scanner, copier, printer)
- Multi-Line Phone System
- Two-Way Radios
This position may evolve to meet program or company requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's in Logistics Management preferred.
- Five years of supervisory experience in motor vehicle operations.
- Thorough understanding of regulations and policies related to Army Maintenance Management.
- Proficient in relevant software and data processing procedures.
- Ability to provide insightful reports and resolve service delivery issues.
- General knowledge of logistics policies and transportation systems.
- Valid State Driver's License with no restrictions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Maintain driving privileges on the installation.
Experience:
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with the Department of Transportation.
- Proficient in Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) with 5 years of experience.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, SharePoint).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
