The Warehouse Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating all warehouse operations and supervising assigned personnel. This position entails overseeing the daily functions of the Supply Support Activities (SSA) Warehouse, which includes technical supply management tasks such as inventory control, storage, receiving, issuing, and turn-ins associated with various supply activities. The Warehouse Supervisor serves as the primary liaison for all stakeholders and is accountable for ensuring that warehouse operations are conducted efficiently, meeting all objectives and performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

This role is subject to modifications as necessary to align with program or company requirements.

Essential Duties:

  • Adheres to established supply regulations, policies, and procedures while resolving operational issues.
  • Manages the daily activities of the warehouse.
  • Ensures timely completion and submission of all required reports, including those outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and other directives.
  • Oversees training completion for all personnel and ensures daily time sheets are accurately recorded and approved weekly.
  • Analyzes complex logistical challenges within the supply chain to ensure accuracy.
  • Mentors and supports staff in essential warehouse functions to enhance performance.
  • Identifies and resolves operational issues through effective troubleshooting.
  • Conducts regular reviews of Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Interprets and manages reporting within designated areas.
  • Communicates effectively to motivate staff and drive productivity.
  • Assists in evaluating workforce capacity and planning.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant directives and safety regulations.
  • Fosters a safe working environment in accordance with CTDI, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

Equipment Utilized:

  • Standard office equipment and computer applications.
  • All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Basic maintenance tools and equipment.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily in a temperature-controlled office setting, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
  • May involve working in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and printers.
  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Compliance with PPE requirements is mandatory.
Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • GCSS-A certification at the SSA level is necessary within six months of hire.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • A valid State Driver's License with no restrictions is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of five years in a leadership role within SSA.
  • Familiarity with governing regulations and supply procedures is essential.
  • Experience overseeing logistics and transportation activities at a division or brigade level.
  • Knowledge of logistic information systems, including Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) and others.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of 26-39 personnel.
