As the Electrochemistry Research Director, you will lead electrochemical and materials research initiatives for optimizing Hgen's cell stack efficiency. You will play a critical role in driving Hgen's research and development roadmap, working within a fast and collaborative start-up environment to commercialize Hgen's advanced alkaline electrolyzer.
Key Responsibilities- Define and lead electrochemical research initiatives to optimize cell efficiency
- Identify and lead opportunities in catalyst and separator development to drive increased system efficiency
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration with engineering teams to translate research opportunities into cell prototyping and development roadmap
- Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years experience leading industry research efforts and teams in catalyst or separator development
- Self-starter, ability to identify new opportunities and challenge ingrained assumptions
