Job Title: Research Director for Reproductive Health and Justice

We are seeking a highly qualified Research Director to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and conducting research projects, developing new research projects, and supervising research teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement research projects to advance reproductive health and justice
  • Lead and conduct research projects, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods
  • Supervise research teams, including research data analysts, graduate student researchers, and research assistants
  • Collaborate with the Legal and Policy Director, legal/policy team, and communications staff to ensure alignment with the Center's goals
  • Manage and develop new methods of sharing research with advocates, policymakers, and providers
  • Secure research grants or contracts and manage grant-funded projects
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field
  • At least 8 years of social science research experience
  • Expertise on reproductive health and justice issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate research results to non-expert audiences
  • Experience managing and maintaining effective research teams and partnerships
  • Experience fundraising for research and managing grant-funded projects
