Job Title: ServiceNow ATF Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ATF Developer to join our team at Syntricate Technologies. As a ServiceNow ATF Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) to validate ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts using the ServiceNow ATF to validate ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Configure and execute automated test suites within the ServiceNow platform, analyzing test results, and identifying defects and areas for improvement.
  • Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automated regression testing and ensure the stability of ServiceNow deployments.
  • Develop and maintain reusable test libraries, test data sets, and test environments to support efficient and scalable test automation efforts.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on best practices for writing testable code, implementing test automation frameworks, and integrating automated testing into the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during automated testing, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication of test results.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and ServiceNow platform updates related to automated testing, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), ServiceNow APIs, and custom applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated test scripts using testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or ServiceNow ATF.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify test scenarios and edge cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • Experience with behavior-driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD) practices.
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance (SQA) processes, test management tools, and defect tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and other non-functional testing techniques.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git for managing test automation code repositories.
