Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for providing continuous surveillance of electronic monitors for one or more patients in a centralized telemetry monitoring station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recognize normal and abnormal rhythms and document changes in rhythm
  • Report changes timely and according to established protocol
  • Assure monitoring equipment and supplies are available and ready for use
  • Provide pulse oximetry monitoring and reporting

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • EKG/arrhythmia interpretation background highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Successful completion of an EKG class required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
  • BLS certification preferred (AHA)
