Covenant Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative II to join our team. This role is responsible for providing administrative support for patient service functions, including check-out operations, encounter form data collection, and payment processing.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety standards.
- Answer telephone calls and route accordingly.
- Receive and record changes in patient information.
- Demonstrate familiarity with insurance procedures and knowledge of participating plans.
- Ensure accurate recording of procedures and corresponding diagnoses on fee slips for charge entry.
- Responsible for scheduling appointments for return visits and end-of-day procedures and balancing.
- Compile data for billing personnel.
- Develop effective communication skills using the A-I-D-E-T fundamentals.
- Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as directed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of clinic appointment scheduling, collection, and ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding (charge entry) or three years of total customer-facing/customer service experience.
- No licensure required.
