Job Summary
Conifer Health Solutions is seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative II to support departmental efficiencies in our healthcare organization. This role involves performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions, as well as obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of medical terminology and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide world-class customer service
Complete full patient registration at date of service
Adhere to financial and cash control policies and procedures
Explain and secure hospital and patient legal forms
Scan protected health information and create patient information packets
Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures and educate patients about patient financial liabilities
Perform hospital cash reconciliation and secured payment entry
Verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility
Obtain insurance authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled hospital services
Secure inpatient visit notification to payors

Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
0-1 year in a customer service role
0-1 year administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred
Some college coursework preferred
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods
Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 lbs
