Colorectal Surgery Position in Norwalk, Connecticut

The Department of Surgery at Norwalk Hospital, a part of Nuvance Health, is actively seeking a full-time, dedicated Colorectal Surgeon to enhance our expanding program.

Located approximately one hour from a major metropolitan area, Norwalk Hospital is situated in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut. The ideal candidate should possess board certification in general surgery, along with specialized fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery, and be board certified or eligible in Colorectal Surgery.

Norwalk Hospital holds NAPRC accreditation and our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely with other specialists within our Cancer and Digestive Health Institutes. Key responsibilities include providing clinical care and educating surgical Physician Assistant students, residents, and rotating medical students. Faculty appointments are available through our partnerships with the University of Vermont and Ross University Schools of Medicine.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, which includes allowances for professional dues, continuing medical education (CME), and relocation expenses. Norwalk Hospital is a 366-bed community teaching hospital located in coastal southwestern Connecticut.

As one of the oldest established ACS verified level II trauma centers in the state, our Trauma/Acute Care coverage is available 24/7, delivered by our team of board-certified Surgeons and Surgical Physician Assistants, alongside PA residents training in our nationally recognized Surgical PA Residency Program.

Norwalk Hospital is ideally positioned in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the scenic Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk boasts a rich cultural diversity and offers numerous venues for year-round outdoor and indoor recreational activities.

Our area is home to excellent public and private educational institutions, including universities. The proximity to a major city allows for easy access via car or train.

Compensation ranges from $400,000 to $550,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
