Western Connecticut Medical Group has an excellent opportunity for a full-time, employed Hematologist/Oncologist with subspecialty interest in Breast Oncology at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. Norwalk is located 50 miles northeast of New York City in suburban Fairfield County. Our long established and busy practice includes six physicians and two Advanced Practitioners. Our office is based in Whittingham Cancer Center within the Norwalk Hospital Campus.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in both Hematology and Oncology and have subspecialty experience and interest in breast oncology. There is some teaching of medicine residents and medical students. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as relocation.

The Cancer Program at Norwalk Hospital has a unique collaboration with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center that integrates MSK medical and radiation oncologists and care practices with the program at Norwalk. The medical oncologists at Norwalk Hospital and Whittingham Cancer Center are subspecialized and members of the network's disease teams that incorporate experts in radiation oncology and cancer surgery as well as genetics, research coordinators, dieticians, and dedicated disease specific nurse navigators. We are a member of NRG and have a robust clinical trials portfolio, including phase I trials, and strong collaboration with PhD's, physician scientists and dedicated research coordinators.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 400+ physicians, 150+ advanced practice providers, and 70 outpatient office locations, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
