The Children's Refugee Shelter, in collaboration with Teneo Linguistics Company, is in search of a committed Bilingual Youth Care Supervisor. This position entails overseeing a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring the welfare of children, and improving the overall standard of care delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive guidance and updates from the Youth Care Manager to ensure a unified approach to childcare.
  • Oversee on-site Youth Care Worker Staff, offering direction, support, and mentorship.
  • Maintain a comprehensive supervisory log for precise record-keeping.
  • Guarantee appropriate supervision of children to foster a secure environment.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including daily reports and incident reports.
  • Encourage a positive peer culture among staff members.
  • Engage in meetings, conferences, and training sessions to remain informed on best practices.
  • Effectively manage challenges and conflicts.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in social work is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare or direct care with youth.
  • 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity within youth care environments.
  • Proven ability to train, lead, and navigate diverse situations.
  • Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish.
