Position Overview:


The role involves supporting the project team in the oversight and administration of various tasks related to construction initiatives.

This position may require alternating between fieldwork and office duties throughout different stages of construction on diverse and intricate projects.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Management Competencies

  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of all necessary equipment and materials to the job site.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare weekly minutes for distribution.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of project schedules.
  • Manage and track outstanding Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure prompt communication of responses to the project team.
  • Support the assessment of field issues and documentation of RFIs.
  • Monitor and document the status of punch list items.

Interpersonal Competencies

  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders (clients, architects, subcontractors, project teams, and various departments).
  • Promote the core values of C.W. Driver among the project team, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Encourage teamwork and enhance morale within the project team.

Technical Competencies

  • Review, coordinate, and manage Submittals.
  • Document, track, and communicate resolutions for all RFIs.
  • Monitor potential cost items to assist in preparing Change Order Requests.
  • Verify initial estimate quantities, report on quantities completed, and maintain labor cost reports.
  • Assist in documenting punch list work.
  • Support the review and enforcement of safety protocols.

Administrative Competencies

  • Prepare and maintain logs for Submittals, RFIs, Procurement, and other essential documents.
  • Compile contract closeout documentation (O&M manuals, As-Builts, etc.).
  • Assist in maintaining the Material Tracking Log.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Update and manage all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs, ensuring all subcontractors receive relevant documents.
  • Assist in mock-up and field testing activities.
  • Establish and maintain an organized project filing system.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint, P6, Prolog, or other Construction Management Software.
  • Understanding of construction administration processes, including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:


The role necessitates the physical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders, and maneuvering in various work areas.

Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Performing this job involves using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, as well as standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Work Environment:


While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, the employee will regularly work on-site at construction locations, which may expose them to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and electrical hazards.

The noise levels in these environments can range from moderate to very loud.
