Job DescriptionAs an Executive Chef - BBQ Specialist at Derrick's BBQ, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that each plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in BBQ and grilling techniques will be crucial in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, smokers, and fryers.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Handle and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness and quality.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials.
To be successful as an Executive Chef - BBQ Specialist at Derrick's BBQ, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, particularly BBQ and grilling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Food Handler's certification (preferred).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
