Position Overview

Role Summary: The Financial Associate plays a crucial role in delivering financial assistance to our operational teams while ensuring superior internal customer service. This position is suitable for recent graduates in Accounting with a commendable academic record and relevant customer service experience. This role operates in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to operational teams by educating them on financial data and back-office accounting systems.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between field operations and various corporate departments including Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Payroll.
  • Assist in verifying that monthly profit and loss statements accurately represent the financial outcomes for the period.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policies and Procedures while upholding internal controls.
  • Support compliance with contract stipulations, including operational maintenance and balance sheet assessments.
  • Review and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Validate requests from the field and prepare necessary journal entries.
  • Develop and maintain operational checklists for daily and closing activities.
  • Keep accurate contact details for all internal customers.
  • Identify and implement best practices to enhance processes and efficiencies.
  • Perform additional accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or Business with a focus on Accounting, accompanied by 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Quick learner with self-motivation.
