Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Wound Healing team at Retreat Doctors' Hospital. As a Wound Healing Registered Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients with complex wounds.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all Wound Care Management within the facility
  • Participate in the selection of products, beds, and skin care assistive devices to ensure quality of care
  • Collaborate and educate physicians and staff on changes in clinical practice, policy changes, and needs
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss wound care strategies
  • Perform prevalence survey collection of data and input into NDNQI
  • Report outliers through the notification reporting system and assist with RCA's or development of action plans
  • Function as a liaison between patient and physician to reinforce and interpret principles of Ostomy and Wound Care
  • Provide ongoing education to staff and identify opportunities for growth
  • Function as a resource in the multi-disciplinary team approach to provide acute and rehabilitative care for patients with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems
  • Collect daily statistics on patients seen by wound nurse, usage of rental equipment, and reconciliation for payment
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse diploma
