Position Overview:
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving the framework of our IT operations, ensuring that our systems are dependable, secure, and effective.
This crucial position involves leading our IT team, integrating new systems and technologies, and upholding the essential IT infrastructure that underpins our innovative initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be instrumental in strategic decision-making that influences all technological aspects within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
System Oversight and Enhancement:
Direct the design, improvement, and deployment of organizational IT systems, software, and networks.
Oversee and evaluate all installed systems and infrastructure for IT-related operations.
Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by establishing, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
Strategic IT Development:
Engage in strategic planning and decision-making within the IT department to enhance overall operations and effectiveness.
Lead the operational and strategic planning of the IT department, fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing resource allocation.
Network and Security Management:
Supervise the security of the network and data, including the implementation of disaster recovery strategies and backup procedures.
Ensure the protection of data, network access, and backup systems, while adhering to privacy regulations and best practices.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and guide the IT staff by recruiting, training, and mentoring employees, communicating job expectations, and evaluating their performance.
Encourage a culture of cooperation and collaboration among team members.
Vendor and Project Coordination:
Oversee relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Manage and execute projects within the designated time frame, budget, and scope.
Technical Support and Training:
Supervise the creation and distribution of help sheets, usage guides, and FAQ lists for end users.
Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.
Certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies are highly preferred.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience as an IT manager or in a similar capacity with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing IT systems and teams.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, and Cisco.
Excellent understanding of IT operations and systems security.
Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
Compensation:
Salary:
$150,000 - $220,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
