Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and execute provided instructions
Work reliably with professionalism in a medical office environment
Requirements:
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
One (1) year related medical office experience; or externship; or associated experience or education
Knowledge of medical terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and EMR
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
Maintain HIPAA confidentiality
Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Ability to travel between locations as needed within the medical group
Required ability to handle bodily fluids and possible exposure to communicable disease
Ability to obtain BLS within Summa Health
Must pass yearly clinical skill competencies
Working Conditions:
Ability to bend, stand, and walk for extended time
Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force continuously to move objects
