Position Overview:

As the Lead Specialist in Equipment Management, you will play a crucial role within the Packaging Team in Brewery Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead functional problem-solving initiatives, innovations, and process enhancements related to assets, workflows, and technology. You will offer your expertise in asset management, ensuring machine availability, reliability, and performance. This role also involves providing leadership to ensure the optimal functioning and reliability of brewery assets and processes.

You will guide the Equipment Specialist Team towards achieving a high-performance team culture and implement change management initiatives aimed at continuously improving both plant and process operations to meet World Class Operations Standards.

This position reports to the Asset Care Manager-Packaging and collaborates closely with maintenance leads, process leads, line leads, skilled trades, and packaging operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 20 skilled colleagues and indirectly oversee an additional 10 colleagues, fostering their growth and development through regular career discussions and one-on-one meetings.
  • Provide leadership to ensure the optimal functioning and reliability of brewery equipment and processes.
  • Support the reliability of packaging equipment.
  • Establish a collaborative team environment focused on equipment and process optimization.
  • Guide and support the implementation of asset management strategies.
  • Oversee designated plant capital and expense projects from inception to completion.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor equipment specialists in enhancing their expertise and ownership of equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated authentic leadership qualities, valuing and respecting diversity as a cornerstone of collaboration and team success.
  • Proven track record of achievements in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, along with an advanced degree in Business Management, Project Management, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering or maintenance leadership role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Certification as a Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred.
  • Evidence of successfully driving World Class Supply Initiatives to meet challenging objectives.
