Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with enrollment in an accredited college or university program.

Experience: Familiarity with ArcGIS, Trimble Pathfinder, and Terraflex is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize handheld Trimble devices to precisely identify underground fiber access points, ensuring sub-meter accuracy.
  • Follow the construction project’s original build order, utilizing construction maps and digital map viewers.
  • Assist in tagging access points to correlate physical assets with the GIS fiber database.
  • Document discrepancies between construction maps and actual site conditions for database updates.
  • Record access addresses for each fiber path access point collected.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the objectives of OzarksGo.

External Relationships:

  • Engage with members and the general public in a professional manner, providing information about OzarksGo as needed.

Other Requirements:

  • Skills: Strong mathematical abilities and a keen interest in technical subjects are essential. Candidates should be capable of enhancing their technical knowledge through hands-on experience.
  • Equipment: A valid driver's license is necessary, along with the ability to operate a vehicle under various conditions. Proficiency in using computers in a Windows environment and handheld Trimble units is required.
  • Working Conditions: The role involves exposure to various weather conditions, including wet, cold, and hot environments, with some indoor office work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to navigate diverse terrains and regularly lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Supervision:

  • This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.
