Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients professionally, answering questions and issues, and optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients professionally and answer questions and issues in a timely manner
  • Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction through efficient scheduling
  • Notify providers of patient arrivals and ensure availability of treatment information
  • Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims
  • Obtain patient authorization for medical records releases and maintain HIPAA compliance
  • Maintain office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply orders
  • Measure and record vital signs and other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School diploma
  • 5 years relevant experience and/or training
  • 3 years experience with EMR or EHR systems
  • 1+ years experience with patient scheduling
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and accept direction
  • Able to work collectively with administration, providers, and team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in insurance billing
  • Active CMA or CNA license
  • Highly ambitious with a self-starter personality
  • Background in healthcare with a patient-facing position
