About the Role

This position plays a vital role in supporting the academic success of students at Lone Star College. As a Peer Mentor, you will work closely with students to provide guidance and support in their pursuit of higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students on academic and personal matters
  • Assist students in navigating college resources and services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive campus environment
  • Participate in outreach and community engagement activities to promote Lone Star College's mission and values

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be a currently enrolled Lone Star College student pursuing a course of study

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position

Salary and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.22
