Position Overview: The Sommelier/Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the dining experience by overseeing a team of Captains who guide guests through their meals. This position involves managing beverage service, curating an extensive wine list, and ensuring that the beverage program remains at the forefront of the industry.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling procedures as outlined by management.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of menu items and their ingredients.
  • Exhibit a steadfast dedication to excellence in service and hospitality.
  • Foster positive relationships with team members and building staff.
  • Utilize creativity to enhance guest experiences.
  • Understand and manage dining room and kitchen operations effectively.
  • Implement and uphold service standards and protocols.
  • Guarantee guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
  • Verify guest identification to ensure legal compliance for alcohol service.
  • Handle financial transactions accurately and maintain balanced cash registers.
  • Be available for shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain organized workspaces and adhere to physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Promote a safe and positive work environment.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards in the workplace.
  • Demonstrate consistent and punctual attendance.

  • A strong passion for food and beverage, along with a dedicated work ethic.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient conversational English.
  • Able to read and understand basic instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Capable of addressing issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach with colleagues.


Physical Requirements: The role necessitates regular standing, walking, and handling of objects, as well as the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Vision capabilities must include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.



Work Environment: Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts and varying temperatures, with noise levels typically moderate to loud.
