About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outpost General Manager to join our team at Pali Wine Company, LP. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of our tasting room in the Arts District of Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead, guide and direct all staff members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
    • Develop and implement internal employee relations programs to foster a cohesive and respectful work environment.
    • Determine proper staffing needs and create schedules to meet business demands.
    • Oversee the overall care and cleanliness of the Outpost environments.
    • Interview and select new employees, ensuring proper hiring protocol is followed.
    • Ensure and/or facilitate all legally mandated and general work-related training.
    • Prepare and review employee timesheets for accuracy.
    • Clearly communicate company vision, customer-service expectations, and corporate directives to all employees.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Propose and develop new concepts to increase customer traffic and sales.
    • Develop marketing campaigns and coordinate private events to promote our wines and Outpost experiences.
    • Create flyers and displays to promote winery events and sales.
    • Determine logistics of events and help facilitate requirements.
  • Organizational and Administrative
    • Gather, analyze, and report weekly sales reports to the Marketing Director and Regional Manager.
    • Monitor equipment and ensure adherence to a proper maintenance schedule.
    • Ensure wine menus are updated regularly and communicate changes to all employees.
    • Conduct secure weekly banking and cash deposits.
    • Place bi-monthly wine orders in Shopify.
    • Coordinate new wine deliveries from the winery to ensure proper delivery and storage.
    Requirements
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • BA/BS degree preferred, or relevant experience.
    • Food and wine knowledge preferred.
    • Prior management experience of multiple locations in restaurant or retail sales.
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays, some evenings, and adapt to a flexible schedule.
    • This position will involve the ability to lift, carry, and/or transport 40 pounds.
    • Full-time, exempt employment.
    Computer Skills
    • Proficiency in Outlook and Word.
    • Experience with e-commerce platforms, social media, and POS experience.
