Position SummaryThe Intermediate Accountant role serves as a vital link within our finance team.
This position plays a key role in ensuring the timely completion and thorough analysis of financial results and accounting transactions. Responsibilities include supporting accounts receivable, tracking capital projects, and maintaining fixed asset schedules.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative in task execution. Additional accounting-related duties may be assigned as necessary. This role offers the flexibility of remote work arrangements.Preferred candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance to facilitate the collection of departmental mail and customer payments.
Limited travel may be required to assist with audits and fixed asset inventory checks.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly financial statements.
- Prepare journal entries to reflect monthly activities.
- Support audit work papers for the annual financial audit.
- Analyze capital expenditure project costs and maintain fixed asset ledgers.
- Execute daily treasury transactions, including wire transfers.
- Assist with accounts receivable reconciliations and resolve customer inquiries.
- Complete monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with external property tax audits.
- Manage company leases, analyze new lease proposals, and advise management.
- Prepare annual property tax statements.
- Generate ad hoc reports and analyses for management as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards/Oracle ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to professional integrity.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing confidentiality and tact.
The primary work environment is an office setting.
Limited travel may be necessary to assist with audits and conduct annual physical fixed asset inventory checks.
CompensationHourly Pay Range: $47.55/hr.
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, education, and other position-related elements.
