Job Summary

PNC Financial Services Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Policy Specialist to join our Corporate Controller organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise and guidance to support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the Accounting Policy team on complex financial reporting and accounting matters.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that accounting policies and procedures are understood and implemented effectively.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience, including experience in a large public accounting firm or a financial institution.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise, including experience with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • CPA certification preferred.
