Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Document Control Coordinator to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of production and laboratory records, as well as providing finished product releases based on DFA and state regulatory review findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review production and laboratory records for completeness and accuracy in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Provide finished product releases based on DFA and state regulatory review findings
  • File and maintain batch production and control records
  • Inform management of food safety management system conformance to SQF standards through key performance indicators and trend reporting
  • Maintain employee training records and conduct internal reviews
  • Collaborate with leadership when non-compliance issues are found
  • Document and update SOPs for facility
  • Administer SOP program through release to departments that are affected
  • Process hold and disposition system based on leadership instructions
  • Support administrative and quality-related studies as assigned by leadership
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education related to food science, biological science, or related sciences preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of quality systems, food safety, production, or related experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment such as SQF, HACCP and PCQI certifications
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GMP, PMO, USDA, OSHA, and HACCP)
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
  • Able to keep good records (record keeping skill)
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to take initiative in performing job and seek increased responsibilities
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
