Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Coordinator to join our team at Corporate Flight Management. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the flight crew with operational control of flights, preflight planning, and ensuring compliance with Federal Regulations and company operations specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support flight crewmembers with operational control of flights and preflight planning
  • Work closely with other divisions to ensure safety and compliance
  • Plan flights considering enroute winds and weather, balancing safety and economy
  • Determine minimum fuel supply necessary for safe completion of flight
  • Provide preflight briefing to pilot-in-command
  • Monitor flight progress and issue necessary information for safety
  • Cancel flights if operation cannot be conducted safely
  • Reroute or redirect flights based on economic considerations
  • Recommend flight plan alternatives
  • Coordinate aircraft diversions and recoveries
  • Negotiate with air traffic control for alternative routings and reductions in delays
  • Provide operations expertise to maintenance department and System Operations Control
  • Monitor and process data provided by flight crewmembers and stations
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the country
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must understand, read, and write English
  • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate required
  • Minimum of two years dispatch experience preferred
  • Extensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations, aeronautical charts, aviation weather, aircraft performance, and flight planning
  • Able to pass 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks
  • Must pass DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and company mandated random drug and alcohol tests
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Able to handle interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain strong attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
  • Work independently or as part of a team
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft products such as Office 365, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to utilize all available technology to create, edit, and maintain all necessary information
  • FOS Scheduling system knowledge preferred
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements
