We are in search of a Project Manager with expertise in heavy civil construction to enhance our high-performing team. This role presents a significant opportunity to contribute as a vital member of a proficient Project Management team. Our project sites are situated throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley, eliminating the need for out-of-town travel.

Position Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects, setting project objectives and policies, maintaining communication with client contracts, and monitoring both construction and financial activities. This role also involves directing and mentoring on-site personnel. Candidates must possess strong business management skills and demonstrate exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management abilities, alongside effective communication and client service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects from preconstruction to project completion
  • Establish and nurture client relationships for sustained success
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, coordinating between client representatives and field personnel regarding project updates
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all contract provisions and project documents
  • Create and manage project schedules, coordinating with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards
  • Guarantee project adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Supervise on-site project engineers, field superintendents, and other resources
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), or Job Order Contracts (JOC)
  • Proficiency in CPM Project Scheduling and MS Office Suite, including MS Project
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Familiarity with Bluestake
  • Knowledge of crew configurations and labor productivity
  • Understanding of MAG, MCDOT, ADOT, MCAQD, ADEQ, and Greater Phoenix Municipal Standards
  • Experience with construction software such as Hard Dollar, On-Screen Take Off, and Agtek, or similar estimating tools
  • Familiarity with the Arizona Heavy Civil market is advantageous
  • Strong professional communication skills across all mediums with staff, management, peers, clients, and business partners

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of project management experience in construction with a general contractor
  • Prior experience with HCSS, Sage CRE 300, TimberScan, Microsoft Projects, or similar software is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
