  • Meet with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences, providing guidance and advice on event planning strategies.
  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all activities are within budget and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and insurance requirements.
  • Collect feedback from attendees and analyze event success, making recommendations for future improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event success, including Business Development, Talent, DEI, and Operations.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent certifications with 2-3 years of event planning experience. Commensurate experience (3-5 years event planning) may be considered in lieu of education, based on candidate's overall employment history.
  • Demonstrated event planning experience in a corporate setting, preferably in the legal industry, including corporate breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and cocktail receptions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on one's feet and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Professional demeanor and exceptional client service skills, with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
