Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Collection Operations to lead initiatives for one of our premier property management clients. This role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $130,000 and involves overseeing the collections and credit assessment processes for a diverse portfolio of multifamily apartment communities across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and oversee objectives for the collections team to ensure alignment with the company's financial targets.
  • Design and implement effective strategies to identify, address, and reduce customer account delinquencies.
  • Create and enforce procedures aimed at minimizing outstanding balances from current tenants, including communication strategies and legal actions.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders from various departments such as Revenue, Finance, and Legal to enhance collection strategies:
    • Work with the Finance team to project potential bad debts and customer defaults.
    • Partner with the Revenue team to develop best practices for credit evaluations that optimize cash flow.
    • Coordinate with the Legal team to ensure adherence to compliance regulations regarding notices and eviction processes.
  • Report on collection performance metrics, assess portfolio risks, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Utilize and improve collection software, collaborating with internal IT to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Establish performance metrics for evaluating and developing the collections team.
  • Engage with external collection agencies to streamline processes and maximize recovery efforts.

Qualifications
  • MBA preferred.
  • Experience with Interprose ACE and Yardi software is advantageous.
  • 5-7 years of experience in credit and collections, ideally within the multifamily housing sector.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of credit and collections processes, methods, and strategies.
  • Proficiency in credit software systems and the ability to assess and integrate new technologies.
