Job Title: Domestic Adoption Coordinator

Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Adoption Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our adoption services team, you will play a vital role in supporting expectant parents, birth families, and adoptive families throughout the adoption process.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management services to expectant parents, birth families, and adoptive families
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each family
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, counselors, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive support
  • Conduct home studies and assessments to determine the suitability of adoptive families
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between families, birth parents, and adoptive parents
  • Provide education and support to families on adoption-related topics, such as attachment, trauma, and grief
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in child welfare, adoption, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
