Position Overview
Honda Aero LLC is looking for a dedicated team member responsible for coordinating Production and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) planning and control workflows. This role involves collaboration with both internal and external organizations to ensure timely allocation decisions and the movement of parts and engines to meet customer delivery timelines.
1. Facilitate communication between internal and external entities to enhance MRO and production planning/control workflows.
2. Set up, execute, and confirm Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and issue schedules for all MRO and production planning activities.
3. Establish realistic company-wide goals for minimum part inventory and manage inventory reductions in alignment with financial objectives.
4. Coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing/MRO teams regarding parts status and build requirements.
5. Ensure accuracy of all materials and labor assigned to orders for each MRO engine event.
6. Collaborate closely with the Accounting Department to reconcile purchase orders, part consumption reports, and invoices.
7. Maintain control of planning-related IT systems, including shop order and work order entry and release, routing maintenance, and operation sequencing.
8. Lead regular production and MRO planning meetings with purchasing, vendors, and partners, documenting meeting minutes and directives.
9. Develop and present MRO shop visit demand and shop capacity assessments to ensure safe aircraft engine operations.
10. Monitor service bulletins and aviation directives for compliance, providing guidance to the MRO shop and partners.Qualifications and Skills
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Coursework in Planning Theory and Inventory Management is advantageous.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production management/planning.
- Experience in Maintenance and Repair shops is considered beneficial.
- Familiarity with ERP and Master Scheduling is preferred.
Other Required Skills:
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of self-managing workload and efficiently handling multiple tasks.Working Conditions
The position is primarily based in a climate-controlled office environment, with the possibility of up to 20% remote work. Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas may require the use of personal protective equipment.
Some travel may be necessary, but it will be limited to domestic locations.
