This position involves managing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the services within the program. The Coordinator is also responsible for the staffing and supervision of Community Home Visitors. In this role, you will coordinate the implementation of the Strong Families Vermont Sustained Family Support Home Visiting Program, utilizing the PAT model as well as other responsive home visiting models. The successful implementation of these programs will positively impact the community by building strong families and ensuring that children are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. The PAT Home Visiting Model is an evidence-based approach that provides parent education, support services, and activities through a voluntary early childhood home visiting program. What We Look For:
We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related human services field. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood and family-centered services, preferably within a community or home setting. Supervisory experience is required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should possess theoretical and practical knowledge of systems theory, family dynamics, poverty, transitional services, and community-based resources.
The Coordinator must demonstrate creativity, initiative, and excellent interpersonal skills, and should have a nonjudgmental attitude regarding reproductive choices, parenting options, and substance use. A valid Vermont Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel statewide occasionally are required. Upon a conditional offer of employment, a background check must be successfully passed. The candidate should exhibit the values of collaboration, compassion, empathy, integrity, and respect, and should be able to handle multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment. The ability to deescalate sensitive situations, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively is also crucial. Proficiency in relevant hardware and software is necessary for this position.
