Job Summary

Auburn University seeks a highly skilled Administrative Support Specialist to join the Media Relations Department. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills to provide administrative support to the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with media representatives and fans to provide information about events, locations, and dates.
  • Advise colleagues on processes, procedures, and services, and resolve policy-related or procedural problems.
  • Gather information and prepare reports and correspondence, research and resolve issues.
  • Manage budgets and coordinate processes for a unit or department.
  • Perform specialized technical duties and coordinate processes.
  • Review and verify documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data and databases.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, including typing, correspondence, filing, recordkeeping, data entry, and other support tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 years of experience in administrative support services, or a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience.
