Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team at American Health Associates Inc. as a Home Draw Specialist. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing mobile phlebotomy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a variety of settings, including private residences and long-term care facilities.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling, in accordance with our phlebotomy patient identification policy.
  • Transport specimens to our laboratory in a timely and secure manner, adhering to our phlebotomy policy on transporting PHI.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a commitment to patient and staff safety, quality patient care, and customer service.
  • Work cooperatively with our dispatch, payroll, laboratory, and courier departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay up-to-date on medical terminology and laboratory procedures, and maintain knowledge of resident rights and patient care standards.
  • Manage time effectively, maintain accurate records, and report any issues or concerns to your supervisor.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any problems promptly.
  • Meet the requirements for a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy work experience, required.
  • Valid state-issued Driver License, must be at least 21 years old.
  • Clean driving record for the last 5 years, own reliable transportation, and proof of required auto insurance coverage.
  • Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care.
  • Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited training school or equivalent, preferred.
  • For Home Draw positions, a minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy work experience and additional credentialing requirements must be successfully completed prior to working on our Home Draw team.
