The Phlebotomy Specialist is responsible for collecting biological specimens at client sites for scientific testing. Key duties include maintaining collection process integrity, recording and reporting, and packaging specimens for shipment.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Foster open communication between clients and Aegis staff
  • Follow standard operating procedures for sample collection
  • Ensure sample integrity and Chain of Custody
  • Complete and maintain required Compliance Training
  • Comply with safety requirements and use personal protective equipment
  • Order supplies and manage budget with RSM and ASM
  • Verify insurance information and request payments from patients
  • Maintain regular communication with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager
  • Support ASM/RSM in marketing and sales objectives
  • Participate in process improvements and team efforts
  • Provide leadership and represent Aegis in a professional manner

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Phlebotomy training program completion or 3+ years of blood collection experience
  • State phlebotomy certification (where required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quality and confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
  • Basic computer knowledge and typing skills

Schedule:
FT, up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
