Job Overview:
The Contractor Consultants is looking for a dedicated individual with up to 3 years of experience in the role of Construction Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager. Our firm focuses on Design/Build methodologies for Commercial, Healthcare, and Mission Critical projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage submittal and delivery logs.
  • Review and submit shop drawings, catalog cuts, samples, and product data for compliance and approval.
  • Assist in the development of construction schedules alongside the Project Manager/Superintendent.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Change Orders for vendors or subcontractors.
  • Gather necessary documentation for billing preparation.
  • File for required permits and ensure compliance until issued.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports on project progress.
  • Compile Operation and Maintenance Manuals upon project completion.
  • Support the Project Manager/Superintendent in preparing Punch Lists and ensuring all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
  • Participate in Job Progress Meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Undertake special assignments and additional duties as directed.
Qualifications:
  • Up to 3 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • A degree in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills to convey a professional image during client interactions.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, and Sage 100.
