Job Summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our established Hospitalist Service at Yale New Haven Hospital. As an integral part of the medical team, you will work collaboratively with Yale Medicine Pulmonary and Critical Care faculty, Intensivists, fellows, APP colleagues, and other highly skilled members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care for complex critically ill patients in our active MICUs at York Street Campus (40 beds) and St Raphael Campus (20 beds)
  • Formulate and implement management plans for a panel of critically ill patients
  • Perform admissions, ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests, daily progress notes, performing procedures, triage role, family meetings, and education and training of APP students and orientees
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or an accredited Physician Assistant Program
  • Prefer clinical working experience with an acute care degree/certification
  • Active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certified, when indicated for position profile DEA License, when indicated for pediatric position profile PALS, when indicated for neonatal care NRP Certification
