About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Project Manager to join our Geospatial team at Ayres Associates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing survey projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop scopes, cost estimates, and proposals for survey projects, and oversee project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest geospatial technologies and methodologies, and apply this knowledge to deliver innovative solutions to clients.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support survey technicians, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on survey projects to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Wisconsin or ability to become licensed within 6 months.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of project management experience, and 5-10 years of diverse field and office experience in surveying.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to walk over uneven terrain and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Project Budgeting: Proven ability to monitor project budgets to a successful outcome.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in team environments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with WisDOT practices and requirements.
  • Leadership: Ability to take direction from numerous individuals, and channel strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
