About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering and sciences services team, you will be responsible for managing solar construction projects from pre-construction to project closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all financial aspects of projects, including project scheduling, financial reporting, and budget management.
  • Develop and implement project communications plans, contracts, and BIM tools to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate and lead productive meetings to drive project progress and resolve issues.
  • Prepare project baseline schedules and schedule updates to track project progress and identify potential delays.
  • Monitor and manage project financial budget vs. actuals to ensure project profitability.
  • Take ownership of project safety, including weekly audits and incident investigation and reporting.
  • Identify project impacts and delays, provide timely notifications, and prepare detailed documentation to submit claims.
  • Solve problems by understanding the root cause, developing solutions, and following through with implementation.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of solar construction project management, project scheduling, financial reporting, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight 3-4 days per week throughout the Midwest.
