A Typical Day:
The Mortgage Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in the establishment of a system for reporting and tracking mortgage-related complaints. This position supports various business lines in managing complaint routing and resolution. The analyst also contributes to the formulation of policies and procedures for all customer advocacy initiatives, serving as a vital link between different business units. Additionally, the role involves preparing instructional documents and collaborating with internal teams to ensure uniformity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates complaint routing and offers insights on policies and procedures across all functions; conducts research to support effective resolution strategies.
  • Inputs new complaints into the tracking system for proper intake and assignment to the relevant teams.
  • Acts as a liaison among business lines to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of complaints.
  • Provides administrative assistance to quality assurance teams for reporting and final assessments of various complaint types.
  • Processes refunds, payment applications, and credit reversals through the financial system.
  • Develops and oversees compliance reporting; manages shared resources and tracks monthly progress.
  • Assists in creating and maintaining policies and procedures for fulfillment processes.
  • Enhances job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, professional publications, and networking.
  • Prepares management reports detailing project statuses.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned, demonstrating behaviors aligned with the organization's core values.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 5 years of experience in management reporting, policy development, and legal compliance, with a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, particularly in mortgage, is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with escalated customers and assure them that their concerns are being thoroughly addressed.
