Role Summary:

The Compliance Analyst, Credit Reporting and Operational Oversight will be responsible for conducting assessments and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to established policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves assisting in risk evaluations, tracking remediation plans, providing data analysis support, and collaborating with management on compliance assessments. The Analyst will also act as a subject matter expert in credit reporting, offering guidance to the Credit Furnishing Team to navigate evolving standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the compliance subject matter expert on credit reporting regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Metro2 Credit Reporting Resource Guide. Collaborate with the Credit Furnishing Team to monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on credit reporting processes.

2. Plan, scope, and execute testing of Automated Compliance Logic (ACL) by providing monthly data and ensuring data integrity through regular validation and analysis of outputs, while reporting on operational performance and identifying areas for improvement.

3. Conduct thorough testing and monitoring of credit dispute processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Regularly review credit reporting files and exception reports to verify data accuracy submitted to credit reporting agencies.

4. Complete additional compliance assessments as assigned, drafting initial testing results and providing actionable recommendations for remediation to leadership.

5. Collaborate with compliance management to develop new assessments based on prior testing insights, regulatory changes, and examination findings.

6. Assist with examination file reviews and regulatory investigations as necessary.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate deviations from established policies.

- In-depth understanding of consumer financial services, including collections, servicing, and credit processes.

- Comprehensive knowledge of consumer protection regulations relevant to lending, including ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, and GLBA.

- Methodical approach to reviewing business processes and documenting observations in a clear, verifiable manner.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

- Capacity to research and resolve issues promptly and adaptively under tight deadlines.

- Experience with Metro II credit reporting, FCRA, and credit dispute management is highly preferred.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Services or Consumer Lending Services.

- Previous compliance experience is highly desirable.

- Bachelor's degree in legal studies, finance, business, or a related field is required.

Working Conditions:

This position requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, with vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is conducted in an office environment.
