The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities- Answering incoming calls and routing them to the appropriate personnel
- Scheduling, confirming, and canceling office appointments as patients call in
- Working on referrals and importing demographics from the patient portal
- Picking up voicemail messages on a daily basis
- Verifying patients' health plan benefits and obtaining authorization, if needed
- Assisting patients with questions and/or concerns regarding procedures
- Collecting all applicable co-payments, coinsurance, deductibles, or outstanding balances from the patient and posting all payments collected
- Researching and assisting patients with questions regarding balances, including collecting applicable payments
- Supporting the care center in areas, including assisting with record requests, managing the fax inbox, and scanning records
- Other duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Requirements- High school diploma
- 2+ years of experience in a medical practice or similar setting
- Ability to multi-task, organized, and customer service
