About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at The GIANT Company. As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets and ensuring the safety of our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Surveillance and Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into matters related to asset protection, including the detection and apprehension of suspected shoplifters and perpetrators of various types of fraud.
  • Train Store Teams: Provide training to store teams on systems relevant to asset protection, including Everseen, Purchek, and Gatekeeper.
  • Represent the Company: Represent the company in court as required and serve as a liaison with various law enforcement agencies in criminal investigations.
  • Monitor CCTV Systems: Monitor CCTV systems to ensure proper working order and train store management on the use of CCTV as needed.
  • Conduct Asset Protection Focus Walks: Conduct regular asset protection focus walks to identify potential security risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze POS and Veribalance Information: Analyze POS and Veribalance information supplied by Data Mining to assist in investigations.
  • Maintain Knowledge of Store Emergency Policies: Maintain knowledge of store emergency policies and assist in the department's response to security incidents and crisis situations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to Work Independently: The ability to work independently and exercise critical thinking and good judgment is critical for this role.
  • Ability to Travel: Frequent travel between store locations is required, and effective time management is essential.
