Position Summary:

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Specialist plays a crucial role in advancing the security objectives within the client's Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC) and Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This position is responsible for overseeing operations within the GPS control room across various client locations in the designated region. Collaboration with the client's leadership is essential to implement operational best practices that ensure the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the monitoring and response to security incidents that may affect senior leadership, staff, and company assets.
  • Conduct video surveillance, monitor security feeds, and investigate alarm activations.
  • Assist in analyzing security incidents and monitoring open-source media for relevant security events.
  • Implement security policies, maintain physical security systems, and communicate significant issues to management.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of SOC processes and procedures.
  • Document and relay pertinent information to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to safety and security protocols and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
  • Compile reports for management to ensure effective communication of security operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in security operations or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of security systems and incident management processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
