Position Title: Business Process Consultant
Location: On-site
Contract Duration: 12-month engagement
Position Summary: Enhance the existing team by aiding in the planning, design, development, and execution of information technology initiatives.

  • Analysis of current (AS IS) business processes and customer journey mappings
  • Conducting SWOT assessments
  • Defining requirements for future (TO BE) business processes and customer journey mappings
  • Performing gap assessments
  • Creating Business Process Models (both Diagrammatic and Narrative)
  • Developing Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD)
  • Compiling Data Dictionaries
  • Designing Data Flow Diagrams
  • Formulating User Stories
  • Establishing Acceptance Criteria
  • Drafting Business Cases
  • Creating Test Plans

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in effective communication (both verbal and written) with departmental personnel at various levels.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the IT business/industry.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in conducting business analyses for IT projects.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience overseeing large-scale software development programs/projects.
  • Experience in developing process model diagrams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven skills and experience in facilitating meetings with individuals and groups to discuss business processes, including both managerial and end-user levels. The candidate is expected to lead all discussions related to their analysis. Familiarity with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering.
  • Ability to derive business process and data requirements from the analysis of process and system documentation.
  • Experience in translating insights from meetings and written materials into process models and/or flow diagrams.
  • Proficient writing skills to create a data dictionary, with experience in Microsoft Word.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
