About the Role:

MCC Label is seeking a skilled Strip Cut Operator to join our team in the Label Division. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate cutting of printed materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards by interacting with other departments to achieve company goals.
  • Jog loads according to customer specifications and inspect printed product for defects.
  • Operate a pallet jack and calibrate scale on jogging equipment.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Comply with established facility safety policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements (GMP, BRC, and HAACP).
  • Interact and behave professionally, treating all associates with respect and maintaining company code of ethics.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping efforts and support an optimized production environment by applying Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos, as well as write simple correspondence.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written and oral instructions.
  • Basic computer and business operating systems knowledge.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables.
  • Certification as a Pallet Jack operator.
  • Physical demands include standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, talking, and hearing.
  • Frequent walking is required, with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
